You can meditate just to relax and quite the mind or to open your senses to Spirit.
Make sure to sit in a quite comfortable area, away from distraction.
Close your eyes and relax your breaths.
Longer does not mean better! You can get results in just 5 minutes of meditating!
If you have random thoughts (and you will!) while meditating, that's okay! Don't harp on them, just think and then dismiss them.
And last but not least...be opened to any type of connection you may receive from a loved one in spirit! From feeling their presence, seeing an image or hearing their voice inside you, the more open you become, the stronger you connections will be!
